Hi—I’m Ella Pieper, the artist and founder of Little Pistol Studio.
My hope is that each piece acts as a catalyst—sparking inspiration with every glance and igniting a lasting sense of boldness and possibility.
My path to the canvas has always been guided by a simple, lifelong drive to create. As a self-taught artist, I’ve found my greatest lessons through experimentation, curiosity, and a willingness to trust the process as it unfolds. Over time, that journey has shaped a style rooted in instinct, movement, and a love for bold expression.
From my Charleston studio, I create with intention and an appreciation for the way art can transform a space. I believe artwork has the ability to shift the feeling of a room—to bring energy, personality, and a sense of life into everyday environments. My process is a constant evolution of the connection between instinct and creativity—vibrant and expressive, designed to ignite an internal spark of individuality and awaken the energy that makes a space feel alive.
While the work begins in my studio, my favorite part is seeing how it continues to evolve once it enters someone’s home. I genuinely enjoy the collaborative side of art—working with collectors and clients to create pieces that reflect both their vision and my creative perspective. Whether through an original painting or a custom commission, my goal is always to create work that feels personal, meaningful, and lasting.

Based in Charleston, SC, the studio specializes in intuitive and vibrant abstract paintings with a coastal flare. We produce a range of expressive original artwork and high-end fine art prints, all held to a museum-quality standard. Every print is produced on professional fine art paper using giclée inks to ensure longevity, and to guarantee the standards of our collection, each piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity complete with handwritten metadata.
